Jagran Institute of Management and Mass Communication Kanpur (JIMMC-K) is an autonomous institution constituted under the Jagran Education Foundation established in the year 2005 by Late Shri Purnachand Gupta with Shri Yogendra Mohan Gupta being the current CEO. Shri S.P. Tripathi is the current director of JIMMC Kanpur.

JIMMC Kanpur has an impressive infrastructure. The hi-tech classrooms have TV sets and projector facilities supported with Wi-fi connectivity for interactive study sessions.
The institute has a well-equipped media lab where graphics software enables students to unleash their creative and technical potential. It is the site where ideas are transformed into news, features, scripts, etc.
The institute has a TV Studio with pre and post-production facilities for training purposes. Here TV journalism students conceptualized, shoot, practice anchoring and produce News Bulletin, talk shows, etc. The students of advertising and PR specialization also shoot for their TV commercials.
The institute library is truly one of the best. It stocks around 1690 volumes, subscribes to 20 newspapers and more than 22 magazines. it also has a rich collection of books on a wide range of other subjects as well.
The institute has a modern Auditorium equipped with the latest audio-video facilities. JIMMC houses a small canteen providing students with a friendly atmosphere for snacks and lunch.

▪2 years of Advanced Post Graduation Diploma in Mass Communication ( APGDMC).
▪ 1 year Post Graduation Diploma in Print Journalism (PGDPJ).
▪ 1 year Post Graduation Diploma in TV Journalism (PGDTVJ).
Undergraduate courses
▪ 3 years Diploma in Mass Communication (DMC) after 10 + 2.
*all including one-month internship to the students having minimum 85% attendance.*
