With a vision to nurture outstanding Computer & Management professionals and a mission to produce outstanding computer and management professionals with broad-based knowledge, analytical ability, team experience, and critical interpersonal skills DAYANAND ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, Kanpur, established in the year 1998 is one of the leading institutions. The Institute aims to provide consequential education, conduct original research of the highest standard and provide leadership in management studies. DAMS was the first institute in Kanpur to offer Computer and Management education. The earliest computer and management courses were started at DAMS in collaboration with Virendra Swaroop Education Foundation (VSEF).
Dr. NAGENDRA SWAROOP is the chairman of DAMS, Kanpur, with Dr. Sandeep Singh Chandel being the Principal & Mr. Gauravendra Swarup being the Secretary – Board of Management.

The Campus consists of a Library, 20 well designed Lecture Halls with a standard seating capacity of 70 students at a time, a lecture theater with a seating capacity of 150, utilized for Seminars, Conferences, Guest Lectures, Group Discussion, Debates, and in-house Competitions. It is equipped with LCD and the latest audiovisual gadgets.
The institute also has computer labs, well equipped with more than 200 Pentium IV, Dual-core computers & other computing resources to cater to the academic needs. All computers are networked through Novel, NT & Linux along with Internet service. The state-of-the-art center provides hands-on experience to the user & always keeps pace with the advancement of technology.

The varied activities and events that are in a constant buzz on the campus in addition to the supportive environment are the reason that helps students flourish personally and professionally.
The institute provides accommodation inside the campus itself. The Halls Of Residence at DAMS Kanpur provide comfortable accommodation and are located close to the academic area. One can find that they are much more than a place to eat and sleep, they have several sports and recreational facilities as well. Each Hall enjoys lifelong loyalty from its past residents.
Also, the Halls of residence provide great tasting nutritious food. Besides, many eateries are offering a variety of cuisines, that are spread all over the campus.
Accommodation for students…
There are no hostels in the college campus, but there are many PG’s that are available all around the campus, which charge a sum of around 5000-7000 for a month. The quality of food offered is as good as home-cooked food, though the variety of food offered is limited.
College fest…
Like every other college, DAMS also has its way to celebrate every event may it be the coming of the new batch or the departure of their seniors they have a unique way to celebrate it all.

Srijan:
It is the annual fest of DAMS in which 3 colleges namely, Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Sciences (VSICS), Virendra Swarup Institute of Professional Studies (VSIPS) & Dayanand Academy of Management Studies (DAMS) take part. Various cultural activities take place during this event.
Energy:
It is the annual sports meet of DAMS in which various Athletic sports activities are conducted. Similar to Srijan, in this annual sports meet also, the 3 colleges, VSICS, VSIPS & DAMS take part.
Fun Fiesta:
Similar to Srijan, Fun fiesta is another annual fest of DAMS in which various cultural activities are organized.
